The Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrated with a floating flotilla and music to record crowds.
Thames Audio supplied sound systems for a flotilla of boats in the Diamond Jubilee pageant that entertained the royal family and a million spectators along the banks of the river Thames on Sunday 3 January 2012.
We supplied a pioneering Funktion One long throw speaker system.
New MST10’s were deployed as part of a full control and speaker package on three of the Music Herald Barges.
Despite a a challenging event with heavy rain and strong winds the Funktion One sound quality was excellent and was clear to all those standing on the banks.
Nothing had been left to chance. Thorough full system tests and rehearsals took place on the Thames earlier in the year. We ensured they were attended by Funktion One’s Tony Andrews and John Newsham, who were on hand to fine tune the system settings. Both Tony & Andrew also provided their support on the day of the event.
