Spring 2008 - All Angels Cathedral Tour
March saw Thames embark on a short cathedral tour with the female classical group 'All Angels'. As all of the shows took place in cathedrals, clarity and control were of the utmost importance. By providing a system comprising various configurations of Funktion One Res 4's and AX88's to augment the acoustic qualities of the band, this could be acheived wth great success. In order to maintain an aesthetically sympathetic profile, all equipment was sited backstage with a wireless network installed, allowing the engineer to mix the show by laptop from a discrete position out front.
Spring 2008 - Family Man
Throughout May, Thames provided sound design and a sound fx system for Rikki Beadle-Blairs gritty drama 'Familyman'. With the opening scene requiring over 30 sound cues in under a minute the SCS show control system proved to be invaluable. To enhance the smooth running of technical rehearsals, Thames also provided on site sample editting facilities to tailor and often create each effect to the specifications of director Dawn Reid.
